BUDGET SHUTDOWNS

In 1980 when Jimmy Carter, a Democrat, was president, congress shut down the government.

During the Ronald Reagan administration, a Republican, the government was shut down a number of times. All the shutdowns were by the Republican administration and not the Democrats.

In Oct. of 1990, George H. W. Bush, a Republican, vetoed the budget and shut down the government for 3 days of the Columbus Day weekend.

In Nov. and Dec. of 1995 and Jan. 1996, when Bill Clinton, a Democrat, was president, the Republican majority in congress led by Newt Gingrich, a Republican, shut down for 6 days in the first shut down and 21 days in the second shut down.

Now, with Barrack Obama, a Democrat, the Republicans led by John Boehner, a Republican, and the Republican house is trying to shut down the government again.

NOW FOLKS, ARE WE SEEING A TREND HERE

It seems like every time the government is shut down over the budget, the Republicans are behind it. Wether they are in power or not, this seems to be their answer when they CAN NOT get their way.

NOTHING BUT SPOILED CHILDREN HAVING A TEMPER TANTRUM.
